DIETRICH SINGS

Three songs by Marlene Dietrich’s favourite songwriters, Frank Loesser and Frederick Hollander, have been selected for the blonde star to sing in her new Universal film, ‘ Seven Sinners.’ The prinipal number, which is used as a theme song, is ‘ I’ve Been In Love Before.’ Marlene has a second romantic tune, ‘ 1 Fall Overboard,’ which she sings to Johu Wayne, anti then a rollicldng novelty number, 1 The Man’s In the Navy,’ which she sings at a party given aboard an American warship. ‘ Seven Sinners ’ has an American naval island in the South Seas as a background, and Loesser and Hollander have written all the numbers with this in mind. The same composers supplied all Miss Dietrich’s numbers in ‘ Destry Rides Again,’ and Hollander wrote the music for the first song hit of Marlene’s career, ‘ Falling In Love Again,’ which is still a best-seller.
