“ Daffodil Day ” was launched in Dunedin this morning under ideal conditions, and reports early this afternoon ’were that the appeal was bringing an excellent response, even after the constant demands made upon th« public ’Hirse recently. The elusive “bobs” were running freel- into the collecting boxes of a small army of helpers all over the city, and the donations really exceeded the expectations of collectors. Both the Dunedin and South Dunedin branches were assisted bv an energetic band of helpers, and their combined efforts, assisted bv tho sale of articles at stalls in_ different parts of the city, will result in a satisfactory swelling of the funds of tho Plunkct SnciotV.
