Daily Intercession
Whither shall I go from Thy spirit? Whither shall I flee from Thy presence? ... If I take tho wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there shall Thy hand lead me. Thy right hand hold me. If I say surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, and tho light about me shall be night, even the darkness hideth not from Thee, but the night shineth as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to Thee.—(Psalm cxxxix.; 7ff.)
O King of Kings, bless our King and Queen and the Royal Household. We thank Thee for their preservation and their oneness in suffering with their people. Strengthen, sustain, and guide the heads, counsellors, and leaders of our Empire and Allies, that the tyranny that threatens to destroy truth, honour, and goodness, and that defies Thy holy commandments may be swept from the earth. Even now convert the hearts of all men to Thy holyways. So dispose the issue of the war, that the nations may be united in a firmer fellowship for the promotion of Thy glory and the good of all mankind: through Jesus Christ our Lord. W.VWW'.'IAWAVni^WA
