With Lew Ayres as Dr Jimmy Kildare and Lionel Barrymore ns the veteran Dr Gillespie, his mentor, the story deals with a beautiful gild’s weird mental aberration, with the young doctor turning detective to trace down the machinations of a fanatical nurse and a quack doctor. Helen Gilbert, who played the teacher whom Mickey I’ooncy fell in love with in 1 Andy, Hardy Gels Spring Fever,’ plays thu 11 mystery patient.” New medical marvels are shown, as incidentals to the plot. Barrymore demonstrates sulfapyradiue, medicine’s new “ miracle drug,” that dooms pneumonia, and reveals the use of prostygmin, a, new discovery that performs apparent miracles with certain forms of paralysis. Various marvels of science are seen for Iho first time on the screen in the laboratory sequences. Lionel Atwill, Aliss Gilbert and Sara Haden are new additions to the cast of the ‘ Dr Kildare ’ series. Among those who have been seen in earlier pictures of the sens are Nat Pendleton. Laraiue Day, Samuel S. Minds, Emma Dunn, Walter Kingsford. Grant Mitchell, Alma Kruger. Hubert Kent, and Marie Blake. The new piclure was directed by Harold S. Buequel. who recently scored with Ids direction of ‘ Oir Borrowed Time.’
