K9RNINGTON CLUB The lil'Lh' annual meeting of the above club was held on Monday, the president (Mr A. 'E. Jolley) presiding. \ letter was received trom an esteemed member of the chib (Mr C. Chirnside), now serving in the army, who conveyed liis_ best wishes* to the club' for a successful season. In moving the adoption of Ihc annual report. Mr Jolley congratulated the A team on being runners-up in the second grade A competition. The balance sheet, he added, disclosed a satisfactory credit. The election of officers resulted Patron, Mr E. in thanking the club for his election, mentioned that he had first played cricket about 55 years ago. He congratulated the chib on the splendid progress it had made during the past few years. A vote of thanks was accorded the retiring president. Opening day was fixed for Saturday.
