BREWERIES FALL YESTERDAY'S TRENDS CONFIRMED SEVERAL MINOR CHANGES There was an uneventful first callover • on the Dunedin Stock Exchange this morning. No major developments showed, apart ' from the confirmation in the drop in brewery values, registered yesterday. To- « day’s quotations shewed all New Zealand Breweries on a lower level. For Carlton (Australian) Brewery, there was, however, an increase in the bid. Less interest was shown in Government ' loans, but what bids there were maintained late rates. A sale of Bank of New Zealand was recorded, the rate having been unchanged for some considerable time. Perpetual Trustees were on offer at £2 12s, Broken Hills eased slightly, being on offer • at the same figure at which sales were effected both here..and in Christchurch within the past two days, but an upward trend has been evident since the second week in September. The bid for G. J. Coles (£3 7s) is still a good way below present • values, these shares also having appreciated fairly strongly; With an offer standing at : 9s, the bid for Mount' Morgans rose steeply to 8s fid, this .‘figure passing, or equalling, ell recent sales. Mining shares showed considerable activity, with no change in quota- , tions. , SALES REPORTED. —Yesterday.— Kaiapci (cont.), 5s 3d. Okanto, 7jd. —This Morning.— Bank of New Zealand, £2 2s fid.
