GROSS-COUNTRY RUN
JOHN NTGLASHAN COLLEGE The John M'Glashan College’s animal cross-country run was held in fine weather. Some fast times were returned over a difficult three-mile course, and all runners who took part in last year’s race improved their times considerably. The fastest time was returned by E. M’Douall, who bettered his last year’s figure by 28sec, covering the distance in 18min 14sec. K. Moore made the second fastest time —18min 40sec —and N. Buckley (18min 59sec) was third. Eightythree boys started. The open results were:—Primary School; M. Hercus, S. 111. (9min), 23miu 34sec, 1; R Reid, S. 111. (7-imin), 22min 57sec, 2; R. Sanderson, St. IV. (7J,inin), 23min 30sec, 3 Secondary School: M. Cameron, F. IV. (smin), 21mm 31sec, 1; C. George, F. IV. (4iuiin), 21miu ssec, 2; I. King, P. HI. (3min), 20rnin 16scc, 3.
