GERMAN COMMUNIQUE

GREAT DESTRUCTION CLAIMED LONDON, September 30. (Received October 1, at 11.40 a.m.) A German communique claims that great destruction and fires were, caused hi London, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Edinburgh. Leith, and Midland towns. It says single enemy planes reached Bradenburg last night. Some bombs were dropped, but there was no military damage. There were many civilian casualties. MORE ENEMY PLANES DESTROYED (By Radio.) DAVENTRY, October 1. The latest figures announced by the Air Ministry show that the Nazis have lost 47 planes, while our losses are 22, with 12 of the pilots safe.
