CHISHOLM PARK CLUB A four-ball bogey match resulted in a tie between A. Laing and W. Meldrum 7 up, and F. Pink and J. M'Hugh 7 up. Other good cards were as follows: G. Burns and R. Morris 5 up, J. Aubin and R. Pollock 4 up. In the Roarers’ Mug matches H. Davies beat L. Gore 6 and 4, and E. M'Faull beat N. Brocklebank 4 and 3. ST. GLAIR CLUB The first (pjalifying round of the club championship was played. A troublesome wind, coupled with the fact that the course was extended to its maximum length, made good scoring difficult. Nevertheless, the scoring generally was considerably below expectations. The best score of the day was returned by C. B. Wight, whose wellplayed 73 led the field by five strokes. The following were the leading scores in the various sections:—Senior championship—C. B. Wight 73, J. N. Sams 78, W. Clayton 79, D. C. Bennie 79, H. S. Ross 80. Intermediate championship— F. Sherriff 85, A. G. Bayliss 87, J. W. Delbridge 88, E. G. Mosley 88, H. A. Gamble 88, K. Chalmers 88. Junior championship—P. A. Joblin 85, T. Grimsdale 89, J. Cardno 90, F. Tuck 91, T. Butler 92, W. G. Kindley 93. An open four-ball handicap, in aid of the Navy Queen, was also played' - at the week-end. There was a satisfactory entry, and the best aggregate score was returned by A. PORT CHALMERS CLUB In the final of the junior championship L. Fountain beat E. E. Booth by 3 and 2 over 36 holes. The four-ball bogey match resulted in a win for A. D. Strachan and G.
