SOUTH ISLAND PROFESSIONAL TITLE [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, September 28. The South Island 86-miles professional cycling championship was hold at South bridge to-day. D. A. Morland, off scratch, made the fastest time and won the championship. Results:—C. E. Hall (limin), Ih 47min 53sec, 1; D. A. Morland (scr), Ih 46min 25}sec, 2; R. Wilson-Pyno (TJmin), Ih 53min 55 2-uscc, 3; A. J. Howison (IJmin), Hi 47min .55 3-ssec, 4: C. R. Evans (3min), Hi 49min 25 4-saec, 5; I. Sutherland (scr), Hi 46min 26sec, 6. DUNEDIN CLUB The \l)unediu Amateur Club held a race of 32 miles at Mosgiel on Saturday. Results:—P. Maitland 1, A. Conn 2. C. Brown 3. Fastest time to P. Maitland. Ih 30miu 12scc.
