DECREASES OVER SEPTEMBER QUARTERLY RETURNS GENERALLY HIGHER Vital statistics for the month of September show decreases in births (12), deaths (17), and marriages (43) on the corresponding figures for 1939. Quarterly figures, except in deaths, which show a decline of 49, reverse this tendency, however, there being 43 more births and 35 more marriages than in 1939.
