TERRITORIAL TRAINING
CAMPS COMMENCE HERE ON MONDAY DUNEDIN MEN FOR BURNHAM Otago territorials who go north on Monday for training at Burnham, will go into camp on a full war footing, which moans that all equipment and records, etc., have to be forwarded abend of the men. Many tons of material are now being packed ready for despatch by special trains tomorrow. If Dunedin is losing a large number of its young men, to some extent their places will be taken by the arrival from north and south of other contingents. On Monday the Southland Regiment arrives and will detrain at Caversham station at 11.15 a.m., and go into training, while the 6th Field 13'attery from Christchurch arrives by the express in the afternoon. After the usual routine work at the station has been expedited, the express will take the men on to Wingatui, where they are due to go into intensive training. For the weeks ahead, therefore, khaki figures should become a more familiar sight in the streets of the city.
