MANCHESTER UNITY
An interesting evening was spent by the Loyal Princess Mary Lodge. N.G. Sister Longworth presiding over a large attendance of members and visiting brethen. One candidate was initiated, and another proposed for membership. The noble grand and the vice-grand were appointed as delegates to the district meeting. At the Loyal Centenary Lodge, N.G. Bra Pope presiding, opportunity was taken to discuss fully all the remits on the business paper for the district meeting. The N.G. and D.P.’s Bros M'Allan and Lysaght were appointed to represent the lodge. Members of Loyal Caversham and Valley Lodges responded to the customary toast. ,At its meeting, Loyal Albion Lodge entertained the members of all city juvenile and Port Chalmers juvenile branches. N.G. Bro. Poulter presided and welcomed the boys, together with three members of the Juvenile Council. The entertainment consisted of games, interspersed with * vocal and instrumental items.
