BOMBING- OF LE HAVRE. LONDON, September 27.—The R.A.F. homhed Le Havre for two and a-half hours. The docks were reduced to a mass of fires and wreckage. EXEMPTION FROM GENERAL ORDER. In a judgment delivered by Mr Justice Tyndall the Arbitration Court to-day granted the application b.f the Auckland Transport Board for exemption from the general order of 5 per cent, increase in wages to tho employees. The exemption was granted the hoard because of a bonus of 8 percent. having been granted by the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr Ritchie) prior to the issue by the Arbitration Court, of the general order. Jn another judgment the Hospital Board’s application for exemption from the general order was refused hy the Arbitration Court. —Auckland Press Association. • > OHINEMURI RACES.
