Bus Conductor: “Town Hall!” Nobody got out. Conductor: “Don’t you want to get out at the Town Hall?” Elderly Man: “Yes.” Conductor: “ Well, are you getting out or shall I fetch the Town Hall to you?” The now gardener played cards with the cook and housemaid. He won, as he intended to. Mistress (calling from sitting room); “Gardener. I said you wore to pluck the geese in the kitchen.” Gardener: “That is what 1 am doing, madam.”
