FROZEN MEAT
TO BE TICKETED IN SHOPS
[Per United Press Association.]
WELLINGTON, September 27. The Food Controller, Mr Picot, states that as a result of negotiations with the Master Butchers’ Association arrangements are being made to tidket all frozen meat as such. This is not a sign of inferior quality, but is being done to enable the public to know what they are buying. The frozen meat to be released cannot be surpassed, as it is of export quality. It is anticipated that after the end of October greater supplies of fresh-killed meat will be available and it will not be necessary to call upon stocks in the freezing works.
