Daily Intercession

Teach me Thy way, O Lord; I will walk in Thy truth; unite my heart to fear Thy name. I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Thy name for evermore. For great is Thy mercy toward me; and Thou hast delivered my life from the underworld.—(Psalm 86: 12-13.) Look, we beseech Thee, O Lord, upon the people of this land and Empire, who arc called after Thy holy name; and grant that in this time of *anxiety and distress they may walk worthy of their Christian profession. May we bear tvith our heart and mind the burdens which this tear has laid upon us. Help us to fulfil our daily duties tvith a sober diligence, and by patient continuance in well-doing■ to glorify Thy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
