‘QUIET WEDDING'
A further presentation by the Dunedin Repertory Society of Esther Al’Craekeu’s modern comedy, ‘ Quiet Wedding,’ in His Alajesty’s Theatre last night again attracted a large audience which thoroughly appreciated the_ witty, sophisticated humour of this delightful production. It abounds in hilarious situations, its characters are quaint, and it possesses the more serious element of sincere emotion. The play begins in a very bright and breezy fashion which keeps the audience in a simmer of laughter. Soon, however, the characters find themselves faced with more serious problems, which are solved in a most audacious manner. Under the direction of Aliss Bessie Thomson, a capable cast handles their respective parts, covering a wide range of characterisation, with considerable skill. ’ Quiet Wedding ’ will bo repeated tonight and to-morrow night.
