FORT CHALMERS MARINE BAND
The junior members of the above band held tlie second of a series of competitions last evening, each competitor playing the hymn ‘ Abide With Me ’ and a solo. Mr H. Dixon was the judge. Result:—M. Manning (tenor horn), 171 points, 1; R. Green and Wright (cornets), 170 points (equal), 2. Also competed : N. Styles, D. Neilson (baritones), J. Thompson and Wadsworth (tenor horns).
