Carr, aged 19, of Cardiff, England, a cabin boy. disappeared overboard near Ward Island. The ship’s boat was manned to look for him, and the examination vessel, Janie Seddon, at tbe_Heads, was signalled, and left her station to assist. The water was choppy owing to a fresh northerly, and, despite a twohour search, the lad was not found.
