SCOTTISH SOCIETY
The monthly social and dance of the Scottish Society was held last Saturday in tho Victoria Hall, a largo number of members and friends being present. The executive was piped to the' platform bv tho official piper, Mr H. Crawford, and Piper J. M‘Vean. The president (Mr 11. M'Kcnz.ie) occupied the chair, assisted bv the vice-president (Mr SimoA Wright). Mr. W* P, Smith
(past-president) moved a vote of thank* to the artists who had assisted in making the evening a success. Items wer* given by Miss Sadie Hill (recitation). Miss D. Green (piano-accordion), Mr W. H. Fvfe (song), Miss Jessie Brown (sailor’s "hornpipe), Miss Joyce Leishman (Highland fling). Supper was provided bv the Ladies’ Social Committee, under Mrs S. Hill. Dancing was enjoyed for the remainder of the evening, tho M.C.s being Mr J. T. Ramsay and Mr G. M'Crae.
