'QUIET WEDDING'
When.the curtain goes up to-night at His Majesty’s Theatre a Dunedin audience should enjoy a comedy sparkling with witty dialogue and hilarious situations. Quiet Wedding will no doubt prove as popular here as it did in the 1938 London season. The action of the play covers 24 hours m an extremely modern and sophisticated household, prior to the nodding itself. The author has made the most ol the delightful fuss and irrelevant bustle, to extract a continuous ripple of la lighter from playgoers. But under the humour lies a serious story ol two lovers whose happiness is tottering to its foundations iiuuler the constant “ barrage ” of facetious remarks and in-
nuundoes set up by members of the family. The charm of the play lies in the variation between bubbling mirth t ami sincere emotion. Ihe strong cast of this ißcpertory produetioii should en-’ sure an undoubted success, ‘ Quiet Wedding’ will run until Saturday night,.
