CROSS-COUNTRY RUN
The Macandrcw Intermediate School’s first annual cross-country run was held yesterday, 120 boys competing. The pace was easy in the early stages, but the race became keener towards the finish.- About 10 boys all had chances of winning in the last quarter of a mile, and the judges declared a dead heat between R. Melrose and S. Robertson, with A. Howley third. The next to finish were G. Wall, H. IRussell, H. Lucas, T. Harle, and S. Latimer. The time was 6min 7 4-ssec. Officials of the Caversham Harrier Club who assisted the masters in controlling the race were Messrs A. J. Holloway (president), S. J. Bartlett, L. K. Donovan, ami H. T Emmerson.
