ANNUAL MEETING The Automobile Association (Otago) held its annual meeting in the Somerset Lounge last night, when the twenty-eighth report and balance sheet were presented. The president (Mr P. W. Breen) was in the chair. A guest of the evening was the mayor (Mr A. H. Allen) who congratulated the association on the work it had carried out during the year. The Chairman, moving the adoption of the annual report, referred to the happy relations which existed between the association and the council and its officers. Any request which had been taken before the council had received very reasonable consideration, he said. The work of the various committees during the year was briefly referred to by the respective chairmen, while the adoption of the balance sheet and statement of accounts were moved by the treasurer (Mr J. L. Passmore). The annual report and balance sheets were adopted. Officers for the ensuing year were reelected as follows:—Patron, Sir James Alien; president, Mr P. W. Breen; vice-president, Mr G. T. Thorn; treasurer, Mr J. L. Passmore; executive— Messrs G. T. Anderson, A. E. Ansell, A. E. Bingham, A. J. Campbell, W. L. Campbell, R. A. Douglas, G. W. Ferens, H. L. Gibson, W. A. Jenkins, J. Y.
