PAHIATUA ELECTORATE
MR HOLYOAKE THE NATIONAL CANDIDATE SIR A. RANSOM NOT SEEKING RE-ELECTION [Pbb United Press Association.] DANNEVIRKE, September 24. At a meeting of the Electoral Committee of the National Party for Pahiatua electorate, Mr K. J. Holyoake, former member for Motueka, intimated his acceptance of an invitation to be the official National candidate at next election as successor to Sir A. Ransom, who is not seeking re-election. Mr Holyoake intends at an early date to take up permanent residence in the electorate.
