A BILLY-GOAT
Do you know how to make a. billygoat? It is very easy. First of all get hold of some nice clean, shiny straw and a little red cotton yarn. Flatten out the straw and discard the dark and uneven pieces, and arrange the rest in two
bundles, which we will call I. and 11. The quantity and length will, of course, depend on whether you are going to make a wee billygoat for the dinner table or a big fellow to stand in the room. If the straw is very stiff and inclined to break, soak it in a little water. , Bogin with bundle 1., the body and four logs. They can be finished off at
once, binding them with red cotton and cutting the ends level so that they will stand. Next bundle 11. to form the top. Bend one end to form the head; stick a little spray of an ear into the cotton which keeps the head together, so as to form a beard. The two horns should be plaited and stuck into the top of the head by means of thin -wire. Finally plait the tail, leaving a tuft at the end, and then bind the two bundles I. and If. together with red yarn.
