A SPARKLING FLOWER FOR THE TREE
This flower will look very hoantifnl. specially if you lix it so that it catches the light. Use silver paper and fine wire. Cut a piece of wire about 6iu long to form the stalk. The stamens are made by cutting a strip of silver paper into a fringe and fastening it round one end of the wire to form a little
tassel (1.). The skeleton of the petals (II.) is made out of a piece of wire Sin long. Cover it with a piece of silver paper about 2in by quite flat, folding it over on the wrong side. Bend the upper half of the petal (III.) slightly. You need four petals for each flower. Fix them round the stamens and twine them round the stalk. Finally cover the stalk with a little silver paper, and the flower (IV.) is finished.
