QUEEN CARNIVAL
ATTRACTIONS FOR THE WEEK ARMY QUEER IN THE LEAD There are attractions aplenty ahead for the queen carnival to raise funds for the soldiers upon their return home. What with ugly men contests, mock courts, and hobo balls, the round of fun should meet all tastes. The principal attraction to-morrow, of course, is the mock court at the corner of Dowling and Princes streets, organised by the Commercial Travellers’ Association. » There will also be a big community sing at the Strand, when Airini (the Army QneCn) will be in attendance. There will be the copper trail, too, to urge citizens to assist the good cause. It starts at Manse street. Remember, eight yards of coppers make £l.
