RHODES SCHOLARS
WELLINGTON NOMINEES [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 17. The Victoria University College nominations for the llhodes scholarship* were decided by the Professorial Board to-day, as follows: Mr Norman Andrew Morrison, at present a pilot officer engaged in instructional duties at Wigram, and Me Ronald John Corkill, a member of tba staff of the Correspondence School, Wellington. Mr Morrison, LL.B., is 24 years of age and is sitting for his LL.M* degree this year. Mr Corkill, 8.A., Dip. of Education, is 24 years of ag* and is sitting for honours in English! this year. Whether the New Zealand scholar* will go to Oxford next year is still uncertain. The Rhodes trustees hav* authorised tho selection of the 1941 scholars, but have reserved the right not to take them to Oxford if the circumstances do not warrant it.
