(Received September 16, at 11.45 a.m.) Enemy shipping and barge concentrations in the Channel ports and many supply depots and rail communications in Germany were again heavily bombed last night by the R.A.F.. An Air Ministry communique states: Last night strong forces of R.A.F. bombers made heavy and sustained attacks on the shipping, barge concentrations, military equipment, and stores assembled in the Channel ports, and also on the distribution centres and lines of communication used by the enemy for the. movement of supplies. The ports of Antwerp, Flushing, Dunkirk, Calais, and Boulogne were heavily bombed. The supply depots at Osnabruck, Mannheim, Aachen, Hamm, Krefeld, and Brussels were attacked, and also the rail communications at Rheine, Haus, Sundem, Husten, and Westhofen. Our pilots and crews pressed home the attacks in spite of severe weather an heavy opposition from the gromid defences. Much damage was done, particularly to the docks at Antwerp. The gun emplacements at Cap Gris Nez and several enemy aerodromes were also bombed. One of our aircraft is missing.
