PATTERSON.—On September 13, 1940 (suddenly), at the residence of his daughter (Mrs T. B. M'Kinlay), 8 Cairnhill street, 'Maori Hill,'James Shaw, beloved husband of Margaret Patterson, 8 Mure, street, Mosgiel; aged 6S years. Private interment. —Hope and Kiuaston, funeral directors.
SPROAT. —On September 13, 1940, at Dunedin, Helen, dearly beloved wife of Robert Bell Sproat (late of 120 Leith street).
