COMBINED PUBLIC SERVICE TEAM GAME WITH VARSITY A The selectors (Messrs W- Pearson, C. Quuid, and Sergeant F. Johnson) have selected the following team to represent the Public Service in a match against University A at Carisbrook on Saturday, September 21, the proceeds being devoted to the patriotic funds: — Full-back; E. Five-eighths: J. Mehalski (P. and T. Department and Zingari-Richmond), M. Spillane (P. and T. Department and Dunedin). Half-hack: W. Baillic (Education Department and Kaikorai). Forwards: T. Wallace (Railway and Southern), R M'Lay (Railway and Pirates), A. Cursey (Railway and Taieri). V. Aitken (Valuation Department and Kaikorai), C. Collett (P. and T. Department and Dunedin), R. Nipper (Railway and Southern, captain), J. Walker (Police and Union), and J. Douglas (Railway -and Southern). Emergencies.—Backs; D. Hodden (Railway and Dunedin), J.
