BLACKWOOD.—On September 13th, 1940, at Dunedin, Private Herbert Ernest (Bert) Blackwood, 40184, N.Z.R.8., Ist N.Z.E.F., oldest son of the late James and Agnes Blackwood (late of Gore); in his sixty-second year. “ A patient sufferer gone to rest.” —The Funeral will leave the residence of his brother (J. A. Blackwood), 6 Cameron street, Kensington, on Sunday, the 15tb inst., at 1.45 p.m., for "the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery.—R. M'Lean and Son, funeral directors.
SAXTON.—On September 12th, 1940 (suddenly), at Roxburgh, Laura Adelaide Henrietta, beloved wife of George Henry Saxton, 240 South road.—The Funeral will leave St. Peter’s Church, Caversham, Tomorrow (Saturday), The 14th inst., at the conclusion of a service, which will commence at 2 p.m., for' the Southern Cemetery.—R. M‘Lean and Son, funeral director*.
