COMMUNITY SING

ARMY QUEEN Proceeds from to-morrow’s sing will be for the Army Queen Airini, who will be present with her lady in waiting, Mrs Dora Smeaton. “Airini’’ will assist by singing 1 Roses of Picardy.’ It will lie a real Army day, with Army songs, including 1 Now Zealand Boys arc Marching ’ and ‘ Thumbs Up.’ The sing will be held in the Strand Theatre, commencing at noon. Donations and cheerios can be sent to Mr J. F. Himburg, care of Begg’s, or by telephoning the Strand Theatre (13-379). Mr H. P. Desmoulin will be the leader with Mr Alf Pettitt at the piano. Mrs M'lntyre, who is in charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive flowers.
