R.A.F. FIGHTERS’ TOLL

TOTAL OF 73 ENEMY PLANES DESTROYED FIGURES FOR YESTERDAY’S BATTLES LONDON, September 11. (Received September 12, at 11.45 a.m.) It iras stated officially at 9 o’clock that 78 enemy aircraft had been destroyed to-day by the R.A.F. fighters. Seventeen of our fighters were lost, but the pilots of three are safe. These figures are contained in reports up to 7.80 p.m.

LATEST LIST LONDON, September 11. (R«c«ived September 12, at 10.55 a.m.) The War Office’s forty-first casualty list gives the names of 18 officers and 397 otter ranks, including five officers and 116 other ranks killed and nine officers and 218 other ranks wounded.
