Wells, who for the past five years has been in Messrs Donald Reid and Co.’s Milton office, and who lias been transferred to Mosgiel, was met by a number of friends on Saturday night at the residence of Mr and Mrs George Coutts and presented with an envelope containing a substantial sum, accompanied with best wishes for the futuie. Mr James G. Henderson, who has been employed at the South Otago Freezing Works for some time past, and who leaves shortly to join the engineers at Trentham, was the recipient of a well-filled money belt from his follow employees. Mr W. Luke, manager, made the presentation and wished Mr Henderson the best of luck. WOMEN’S HOCKEY.
