BRITISH EXPORT CREDITS
EXISTING ARRANGEMENTS TO CONTINUE (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 28. (Received September 29, at 11.30 a.m.) The Secretary of Overseas Trade said in the House of Commons that, generally speaking, the export credit guarantee department was prepared to continue the existing arrangements for sterling payments and transfers in respect of exports from the United Kingdom to most countries in Europe, excluding enemy territory. The countries in respect of which this facility would be available and the amounts of commitments at any time would be the object of weekly review.
