PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following arrangements have been made for the control of Traffic to and from and in the vicinity of Carisbrook Ground on Saturday next, 30th September, 1939—viz. < 1. The undermentioned streets wili be closed to Vehicular Traffic with the exception of Trade Vehicles delivering goods, from noon to 5 p.m,: BURNS STREET, from Ferguson street q to Cargill road. NEVILLE STREET, from Burns street to Gillies street. M’GLASHAN STREET, from Cargill road to Neville street. ; 2. Taxis are required to stand in Neville street, south side (only), between Burns and M’Glashan streets. 3. All Public Vehicles, such as Taxis and Motor Omnibuses, are to proceed to Caris- ( brook via Princes street south and Anderson’s Bay road, thence via Bridgman street to Wilkie road and under the Railway Bridge to Gillies street and Ferguson street, dropping Passengers at the Entrance Gates) The return route is to be via Burns street, Macandrew road, and Anderson’s Bay road. 4. All Private Cars from the City to proceed via the South road over the Cemetery Hill and park in streets south of Law street, returning via Burns street and Macandrew road. 5. All vehicles returning from Carisbrook via Princes street shall turn east into Manor street, thence via Crawford street. 6. Between 12.30 p.m. and 5 p.m. all vehicles using Cargill road, with the exception of Trams and Buses, are required to proceed on the one-way system—i.e., in a westerly direction only between _ Cargill’s Corner and Burns street.
