BOY ACTS AS BAIT

MAN-EATING CROCODILE In order to lure a man-eating crocodile from its lair, Kees Weverliug, a Dutch boy in Singapore, volunteered to act as a human bait. A hunt was arranged, and when all other attempts to attract the crocodile had failed the Dutch boy jumped into the water. Within a few moments

the head of a huge crocodile appeared. The boy's father and others watched the daring lad swim to shallow water with the crocodile pursuing him. Then they opened lire, and the crocodile, turning a somersault in the air ; fell back dead into the water.
