North Dunedin Branch. The final meeting for the year of the North Dunedin, branch was held on Thursday last, Mrs J. Wilson presiding. Members from sister branches were welcomed. Miss Keilor gave an interesting and educative talk on the early history of New Zealand,' for which Mrs Reid proposed a vote of thanks. Mrs H. C. Wilson spoke on behalf of the visitors. Wakari Branch. The Wakari branch held its fortnightly meeting at the home of Mrs Gray (president) on Wednesday last. Mrs Cooper gave an interesting talk on some of her life experiences. ST. CLAIR WOMEN'S CLUB At the annual meeting of the St. Clair Women’s Club, held on Monday evening, the following office-bearers and committee were elected:—President, Mrs 1). A. Young; vice-presidents, Mesdames Douglas Barton and H. Archbold; hon. secretary, Mrs J. M. M'Lachlan; hon. treasurer, Mrs W. Daglish; general committee—Mesdames J. Y. Love, Chas. Thomson, D. Paine, W. E. Gibson, W. Turnbull, P. Bardsley, and. P. 'J. Rendel. On vaeating the chair, the retiring president (Mrs E. H. Ombler) was presented with a beautiful crystal vase of spring flowers. Then followed a social evenin'’ - when the following programme, arranged by the committee, was presented;—Competition, arranged by Mrs J. G. Mills and won by Mrs T. Smith; original song, Mrs P. Bardsley; dumb charade—• Mesdames. J. M. M‘Lachlan, Robson, Morris, Bardsley, Archbold, Daglish, and IRendel; pianoforte duet, Mesdames Douglas Barton and D. A. Young; intelligence test, arranged by Mrs Barton and won by Miss Thelma Thomson; ventriloquist turn, by Mesdames P. Bardsley nml P. J. Rondel; original versos, by committee members. Airs Douglas Barton and Mrs P. •). it endel were the accompanists for the evening. .Mrs Denton, in a neat speech, thanked'the retiring committee and elub members who had arranged evenings throughout the season for all the work and time they had given to tire social side of the club.
