WORK FOR WOMEN.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I am in complete accord with “ Humanitarian ” with reference to the meeting of women held in the St. John. Ambulance rooms desirous of assisting in war work. I am likewise of the opinion that the Executive Committee would be considerably strengthened by the appointment of some of the older members, many of whom have a wonderful record! of service in this work. To ensure the success of this patriotic movement and obtain the maximum result it is desirable that perfect harmony should exist, and to attain this end it appears to me that the ideal committee should consist of youth combined with age and experience. .... The question of the initial expenditure for this work should, I think, be held' in abeyance, as it seems evident that in the near future suitable provision in this, connection will be made by the Government. —I am, etc., \ Sincerity. • September 26.
