COURT ST. ANDREWS
C.R. Sister M. Coomer presided over the last two meetings of Court Saint Andrews, there being a good attendance of officers and members. Sickness is still fairly heavy amongst members and ,the woodwards reported on same. Several invitations were received and members who attended, reported on their visits. Four new members were initiated into the court and one proposition was accepted. The final of the badminton championship was played, and Bro. J. Honand emerged winner after an enjoyable round of games. At last meeting the court had an official visit from the District C.R. Bro. D. D. Thomson, D.S.C.R. Bro. A. S. Dyke, and D.S. Bro. J. K. Macfie, and they were, given a hearty welcome by the C.R. The officers nominated were elected and installed into office by the district officers as under;—C.R., Bro. F. M‘Kay; S.C.R., Sister P. Johnson; C.T., Bro. P. Vann; C.S.. Bro. C. E. Baines; S.W., Sister B. Vann; J.W., Bro. D. M‘Kay; 5.8., Bro. V. Campbell; J. 8., Bro. O. Pearson; M.C., P.C.R. Bro. R. Hughson. The retiring-trustee and auditor were re-elected. P.C.R. Bro. C. H. M'Kcich. C.T. Bro. P. Vann, and C.S. Bro. C. E. Baines were elected 'delegates to the
next annual district meeting at Port Chalmers. P.C.R. Bro. D. A. Swann was nominated as District Trustee and P.C.R. Bro. C. H. M'Keich as District Beadle. Vigilence, Social, and Juvenile'Management Committees were also elected. D.S. Bro. J. K. Macfie presented P.C.R. Bro. IE Hughson with his certificate and collar, and spoke of his fine work in the court. D.S. R. Bro. A. S. Dyke rendered the toast to “ our fallen brethren,” which was honoured by members as usual. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the installing officers. After the meeting was concluded, members enjoyed tabic tennis and badminton.
