INCREASED FIGURES

REGISTRATIONS FOR SERVICE RESULT OF AGE INCREASE With the raising of the age limit for volunteers for the special military force, registrations took a brisk upward trend this morning There are still vacancies in the first draft to be filled, and those who register now will, if passed fit and do not require extensive dental treatment, stand a good chance of inclusion. A number of those classed as temporarily unfit have undergone dental treatment, and if these wish to be included in the_ first draft they should advise the registration officet, at the Drill Hall of the fact. It is pointed out, however, that if they themselves know that they stand no possibility of passing the medical examination they should not present themselves until they are ready. Anyone not living close to an Army office or post office who desires a registration form will be able to procure one by writing to the registration officer, Drill Hall, Dunedin (or Oamaru). who will forward the necessary forms. There were 16 registrations on Saturday, and these are classified in groups No. 1 (officers on the reserve or active list).
