Rlaydon went on to heat Josedale Grattan comfortably, and Huguenot heat Reeky Direct for third by half a head. WELLINGTON HANDICAP. £275. One mile and a-quarter. 4-4 MARLENE. ser (C. S. Won by a length, with a length between second and third. Great Jewel was fourth. Time. 2m,in 48 3-ssee. Marlene led all the way and withstood a strong challenge from Nervie’s Last to win decisively. Horsepower and Great Jewel both .came home well, hut Lightning Lady and Great Divide had every chance.
