SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP TO-HIGHT

The first heat of the Otago graceful skating championship will be held tonight at the new De Luxe Rink, Filleul street (opposite the Town Hall). Some of .’the competitors in the recent New Zealand championships will he seen again to-night. The session will extend from 7.30 to 10.45, and an attractive programme has been arranged, including the ten-step, • Palais glide, shadow waltz, veleta, singing trios, fours, two-step waltzing, gliding, etc. The rink is open daily from midday, 12 to 2; afternoon, 2.30 to 4.30; learners’ class (Monday to Friday) from 5.30 to 6.45, and every evening at 7.30. Tuition is given at all sessions, and private tuition is available (telephone !Q-692). ■
