(Received September 22, at 10 a.m.) The Domoi Agency states that the leaders of the Japanese-controlled Pe-king-Nanking administrations conferred and agreed to form a central regime under Wang Ching-wei, _ who has been acclaimed as the legitimate leader of the Kuomintang. It also issued a statement that they had obtained the full understanding and support of the Wang Keh-min and Liang Sung-cbih, leaders of the Peking and Nanking regimes, and henceforth they would work harmoniously for the realisation of peace. CHINA STANDS FAST CHUNGKING, September 21. (Received September 22, at 2.30 p.m.) Wang Chung-hui emphatically denied the peace rumours. “ China is not prepared to accept peace overtures not based on fair terms for all countries of the Far East,” ho said, and added that China would insist on the preservation of its integrity and the cessation of Japanese aggression.
