SYDNEY, September 21. (Received September 22, at 8 a.m.) There were exciting scenes when a fire was discovered in the Century Theatre, George street, in the city to-night. The audience was warned by a notice on the screen to quit quietly and in orderly fashion, after which firemen rescued an operator who was hanging from an upper story window, also ta man and woman who were overcome iby smoko within the theatre, which jvas badly damaged..
