EMPIRE BOXING CHAMPION
LEN HARVEY'S INTENTIONS TOUR OF DOMINIONS MOOTED As a change from collecting titles and disproving in the ring that a boxer who has reached the ago of 32 should pension himself off, Len Harvey wants to tour the Empire in order to “ let them see their champion.” It would be a fighting tour, and some of the bouts would no doubt be in defence of one or the other of his titles. He is keen to visit South Africa, where Isays an overseas correspondent) Ben Foord might be glad of a to meet the British aiid Empire champion. After this he wants to go to Australia, where interest in the project has already been shown, and New Zealand. The scheme sounds a good one, hut it remains to be seen what response it will evoke in South Africa and the other dominions concerned. Wherever he fights and whoever his opponent the f'ornishman should always prove an excellent draw. Ho is one of the few boxers who has brains as well as brawn.
