SALE TO BRAZIL
FOURTEEN AMERICAN FREIGHTERS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CRISTOBAL, September 20. (Received September 21, at 10 a.m.) It is reliably stated that the United States has consented to the sale_ to Brazil of 14 privately-owned! United States freighters. This is considered to be an expression of the United States’ desire to let action, instead of words, demonstrate the solidarity of the Americas at the Pan-American Conference, at which the United States delegation, headed by Mr Sumner Welles, arrived to-day.
