NEW ZEALANDER IN SYDNEY ALLEGED SLAYER REMANDED Press Association—By ■ Telegraph—-Copyright SYDNEY, September 18. (Received September 19, at 8 a.m.) John Kirkwood was further remanded till Wednesday week on a charge of slaying the New Zealander, Gervaine G. M‘J)onald. [A cablegram received on September 13 stated: A new Zealand journalist, Gervaine G. M'Donald, employed by Associated Newspapers Ltd., Sydney, died to-day from injuries received during an altercation at Bondi. McDonald, who was a court reporter on the ‘ Sun,’ was allegedly involved in an argument in which blows were struck, and he fell, strildng his head heavily on the footpath. His skull was fractured, and he did not regain consciousness. M'Donald’s father is a barrister in Wellington. John Kirkwood, aged 30. an agent, was arrested and charged with having feloniously slain M'Douald.]
